Mama Needs a Bedroom Makeover Like a Monkey Needs a Banana

This monkey's bedroom looks better than mine.
My bedroom is many things. It’s my haven, my clubhouse, my office, my temple and on particularly peppy days, my disco. It’s the one room in the house where I can retreat when I need to and shut out all the noise.
That’s the good news. The bad news is my bedroom looks like I got rip roaring drunk before I went shopping at the Salvation Army right after my bi-annual visit with the optometrist during which he put those drops in my eyes that evidently make me think things match when they don’t.
So this morning, as I was sitting in my bedroom trying to convince myself that brown and gold really are relaxing colors and the giant picture of 1972 hippie flowers doesn’t AT ALL bring about tiny seizures in my brain, I got an email from Twitter Moms that there are people who want to help.
“Tell us about your bedroom!” they said. “We might pick you to win a super swagulous bedroom makeover.”
So I am. And I hope they do. Because of the seizures and whatnot.
Oh and PS: I think this seems relaxing and it’s almost certainly made of 100% seizure free materials.

Maybe O will give you a personal makeover. Then Ty Bennington will see you on O and do an “Extreme Makeover Home Edition.”

The only extreme makeover home edition I want is the one where they tear this one down and build another one. By the beach.

Yo! What up? I think you clearly don’t know how badly I need to win this or you’d feel pity for me and let me. Take a dive. Go ahead. You’ll feel good about yourself for contributing something to the poor and the comfort-less.
